LangFill — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-09-03

LangFill is a browser extension that translates text into multiple languages using an AI provider that you choose and supply a key for.

There is no server

LangFill has no backend. The developer operates no service, receives no data, and cannot see anything you translate. All processing happens in your browser or at the AI provider you configure.

What is sent, and where

When you press Translate, the text you selected is sent directly from your browser to the API of the provider you configured — one of Google Gemini, Groq, Mistral, Cerebras, OpenRouter or OpenAI — using your own API key. Along with it we send the translation instructions you configured: your glossary, do-not-translate list, and product context.

Nothing else is transmitted. No page content beyond the fields you ask to translate, no browsing history, no identifiers.

Your text is subject to the privacy policy and data-retention terms of the provider you choose. Some providers use API input to train models — Mistral's free tier requires opting in to exactly that. Review your provider's terms before sending anything confidential.

What is stored, and where

What is not collected

No analytics. No telemetry. No tracking. No crash reporting. No advertising identifiers. No sale or transfer of data to anyone.

Sprinklr pages

On *.sprinklr.com the extension reads the translatable fields of the asset you have open, only when you ask it to, and writes translations back into that same asset's language fields only when you press Apply. It never saves; that remains your action in Sprinklr. It does not read or transmit anything else from the page.

Removing your data

Uninstalling the extension removes everything it stored. You can also clear individual settings from the options page at any time.
